Harry Maguire’s mother issues a statement in response to the harsh treatment and abuse his son receives.
The 30-year-old centre-back has been the subject of abusive reactions due to a difficult time in his playing career.
Harry Maguire is struggling to deliver his best for both Manchester United and England.
He has become a laughing stock and a subject of abuse due to unfortunate bad performances including wrong tackles, misplaced passes and notably own goals.

The kind of ridicule and abuse is not from only rival fans, but also from Manchester United and England fans as well.
In view of these, his mother Zoe took to social media and responded to such abuse and harsh treatment
Harry Maguire’s mother’s statement.
“As a mum, seeing the level of negative and abusive comments which is receiving from some fans, pundits and the media is disgraceful and totally unacceptable to any walk of life never mind someone who works his socks off for club and country”.
“I was there in the stands as usual, it’s not acceptable what’s been created over nothing”.
Zoe echoed: “I understand that in the world of football, there are ups and downs, positive and negatives but what Harry receives has gone far beyond football”.
“For me seeing him go through what he’s going through is not ok.
Zoe added: “I’d hate to have to see other parents or players go through this in future, especially young boys and girls breaking through the ranks today”.
“Harry has a massive heart and it’s a good job he’s mentally strong and can handle it as others may not be able to”.
“I wish this sort of abuse on nobody”.
