Erik ten Hag’s men handed Newcastle their second-ever Old Trafford win since 1972 as more and more pressure piles on the Dutch trainer.
The EFL Cup exit comes just three days after suffering a three-goal home humiliation vs City rivals, Manchester City.
The Red Devils’ weaknesses have been cruelly exposed repeatedly as they have now lost eight of their opening 15 games for the first time since the 1962-63 season.
