Melwood has been Liverpool FC official training ground for 70 years. Trough 1950 till 2020, the training grounds have inspired, natured and hosted talents and legends of the club.
Integral to our story for 70 years…

This was Melwood… and we’ll never forget it ❤️ pic.twitter.com/3Xd93jQidA
Invariably, Melwood has been the backbone of Liverpool success and victory in England and across the globe. The flamboyant display of the “The Champions Wall” alone has been an inspiration to players and staff. However, it is now time for the club to partway with the historic grounds and move to their new £50 million AXA Training Centre, Kirkby.

Here are reactions and memories from some past staff and players of Liverpool FC
So many fantastic memories from Melwood. Sad to see that @LFC will no longer be training there, but the history and tradition will be forever etched in our minds. The new facility looks unbelievable – fingers crossed it brings the same success to our Club. pic.twitter.com/HUMMHQ22zJ

Gutted to see Melwood go. Part of the @LFC DNA. Where Shankly dared to dream and Legends graced the turf. Absolutely honoured to just be a little part of it. Thank you I’ll never forget #memories #LFC #LFCfamily pic.twitter.com/VUcH58tlVw

I turned up at this place 30 years ago. Little did I know that it would provide me with the memories of a lifetime. So many great people walked through those gates. And so many friendships formed. Thanks for the memories. #Melwood pic.twitter.com/vmFPUdkq1n

Not really the facilities but more the people in it.
I could keep going. The place was magic. Especially for a 21 year old boy from Brøndby. ⚽️✨. Y.N.W.A pic.twitter.com/Z1I7GFx8hq
