Manager Carlo Ancelotti celebrated a historic fifth Champions League title as Real Madrid clinched their 15th tournament victory. Their triumph came at Wembley, overcoming a bold challenge from Borussia Dortmund with late goals from Dani Carvajal and Vinícius Júnior.

Toni Kroos whipped a corner into the Dortmund box, and Dani Carvajal rose to produce a lovely header beyond Gregor Kobel. Incredible scenes unfolded in the Real Madrid end.

Incredible scenes unfolded as Vinícius Jr threw himself into the end where Real Madrid’s fans were. Toni Kroos waved at the crowd, and Carlo Ancelotti hugged someone else in the crowd.

Then, a big hug was shared between Ancelotti and Jude Bellingham. These celebrations were going to go on and on.

Zinedine Zidane, the former Real Madrid boss, looked delighted as he placed the Champions League trophy on the plinth on the pitch, ready for the presentation.

Then he went over to Carlo Ancelotti, and the pair hugged. One legend embracing another.

Borussia Dortmund’s players looked devastated as they went up to receive their runners-up medals.

Fair play to their fans. Most had stayed behind to watch the presentation ceremony and applaud their players to the end.

Wonderful scene as fireworks erupted over Wembley as Real Madrid captain Nacho received the Champions League trophy, and the celebrations were well and truly underway.
