David Ornstein unveils Marcus Rashford would be sold based on two conditions

David Ornstein has revealed that Manchester United would consider selling Marcus Rashford contingent upon meeting two conditions.

Despite Rashford’s current season struggles with only eight goals and five assists in 40 appearances, his previous campaign showcased his peak performance, securing 30 goals in 56 matches and earning him a five-year contract until June 2028.

Ornstein, The Athletic’s transfer expert, indicates that United would entertain offers for the forward if they are substantial or if Rashford expresses a desire to depart.

However, reports suggest United’s preference is to retain the 26-year-old and aid him in regaining top form.

Erik ten Hag recently expressed confidence in Rashford’s ability to bounce back, emphasizing the need for support and encouragement to restore his previous level of excellence.

ten Hag said: “I have a lot of sympathy for Rashy. Last year, he had a brilliant season, the best season in his career, 30 goals.

“This season he didn’t give the performances and then people are very critical. I think we have to back him. Everyone should back him and push him to get back to the levels he was at last year.

The Dutchman concluded “I think he needs support. We all know what he’s capable of. We all have to support but also to push him. He can do better than he is doing this year and we have seen that last year when he was really brilliant.”

While other young talents like Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho, and Rasmus Hojlund are deemed non-negotiable, credible offers for Rashford could genuinely pique United’s interest, as per The Telegraph’s claims.
